Vicki Fulcher personifies what you would expect in a minister – a person who has lived, understands and practises a balance between body, mind, and spirit. But it took work to persuade her that this picture with glasses perched on her head is the real Vicki Fulcher – a first career physical education teacher, intramuralist, and guidance counselor who has a passion for spiritual care.

Vicki obtained a B.A. in history from Carleton, a B. Ed from Queen’s and a Master of Divinity from Queen’s Theological College. In 2005 she was ordained by Bay of Quinte Conference to chaplaincy at Kingston General Hospital where she is a member of the Spiritual and Religious Care Department. Her appointment as part time Minister of Visitation brings her long association with this church full circle in that Bridge Street was her sponsoring congregation as a Candidate for Ministry.

In addition to her hospital and congregational ministry, Vicki serves the wider church as a member of the Bay of Quinte Conference Alternate Dispute Resolution committee and the Leadership and Faith Formation committee.

A woman of deep faith, Vicki believes that spiritual care is about journeying with others in  sacred accompaniment: “We are pilgrims on a journey, fellow travelers on the road, we are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load”.
