BECOMING A MEMBER

People become members of Bridge Street either by affirmation/re-affirmation of their faith or by transfer from another congregation. Confirmation classes are available for youth ages 14 and over or in Grade 9. Just call the church office or email us at info@bridgestchurch.com to let us know you are interested, and we will get back to you. We’d love for you to be part of the Bridge Street Family.

ENROLL MY CHILDREN IN THE CHILDREN’S SUNDAY PROGRAM

We have a Crib Room, Toddlers Room and a Children’s Centre (open also in July & August, but unstaffed), with something for each age group up to high school age. For more information, call our Children’s Centre Co-ordinator, at 613-962-9178 extension 78, or send us an e-mail at info@bridgestchurch.com, or just show up. Usually children over three stay with their parents during the first part of the service, and then, after the “Children’s Time” in the service, they go downstairs for their own program. GET INVOLVED WITH THE MUSIC PROGRAM

We have an excellent Senior Choir who practice on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m.

FIND OUT ABOUT YOUTH PROGRAMMING

We have a very active youth group for all youth, ages 12 and up. This group meets twice each month. For more information call our minister, Dr. Bill Smith, at 613-962-9178 extension 73, or drop him an e-mail at wdsmith@bridgestchurch.com.

LEARN ABOUT THE UNITED CHURCH WOMEN

We have three different units of United Church Women at Bridge Street Church which usually meet monthly. One meets for lunch, another in the afternoon and the third meets in the evening. For more information call the church office or e-mail us.

LEARN ABOUT STUDY GROUPS

There are two different study groups within the church, who both meet on Wednesdays. The Breakfast Bible Study group (8 a.m.) studies the weekly lectionary - or the theme for next Sunday's church service. The Evening Bible study group (7:00 p.m.) is currently reviewing a Lenten bible study based on the gospel of John. Materials are supplied. ARRANGE A BAPTISM

Baptism is available for all ages and is scheduled during Sunday worship. If you are interested in Baptism for yourself or your children, call the church office (613-962-9178) or email our minister, Dr. Bill Smith, at wdsmith@bridgestchurch.com.

GET MARRIED

Our minister looks after all wedding bookings. Weddings must be performed in the church, using the services of our staff. Due to holiday scheduling, no weddings are booked in July. For more information, contact Dr. Smith, as noted above.

We are here to help you in any way we are able. If we don’t have the answer, we will refer you to someone who does. Contact our Administrative Assistant at 613 962 9178, extension 70, or our Minister, extension 73. If we are not here when you call, we have an after-hours message system, and will respond to you as soon as we can.
