The Age of the Un Theist
An “un-theist” is one who does not know whether to believe or not, for God is and never has been part of that person’s life. But if we are called to lateral the gospel off to the next generation, then how do we do get the un-theists to pick it up and run with it?

Does God have Blue Eyes?
Sometimes! Does the gender of God, the complexion of God, the face of God get in the way of worship? Then put it aside and stick with whatever works for you. But never let that stop you from seeing the Christ standing outside your door or looking for the face in Christ in others just as you seek to reveal the face of Christ in you.

Thankful for What?
Life is not always fair, and some days it is awfully hard to say “thank you”. Yet if we can move beyond the past, we can find renewed hope and courage and faith to move into the future.

Defining Acts
There are two reasons why people go to church. They go to find faith and ideally, in the process, they discover a caring community, or they go to find community and, in their searching, they discover faith. These are the two defining acts of each and every “faith community”, and both are essential.

That's Not Fair!
Christ pointed out that we often differ with God in our belief what constitutes ‘fair’. We expect to get what we earn and deserve, no less. God’s view is we deserve what we need, no more.

Parting the Waters
Water has a central role to play in scripture. In ancient Israel, the sea nearly took on divine status because it symbolized ‘the power of chaos’. The sea evoked the breakdown of all structure, and thus, it was the ultimate opponent of God.
