Two decades of making furniture taught Rob that, in this life, he and dust were never going to get along. Dust won the first round; Rob moved on to spend several years with the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. Then he saw the Bridge Street ad. "The instant I saw it I knew I was perfect for them, and they were perfect for me", he says.
"There were several things that appealed. It's a significant responsiblity - a large church, a chapel, gymnasium, and a number of offices and conference rooms. If there's a problem or an issue, it's my job to spot, and what I liked most of all, my job to fix."
Rob joined the Bridge Street staff in late 2006. He is responsible for the general upkeep of our property, but also for staging and coordination of event logistics. For instance, if you're a bride, Rob will be with you at the rear of the church to cue you for that walk down the aisle, and he'll be waiting to guide you when, as a married couple, you walk back.
Robert has a teenage son and daughter. Both Rob and his wife are enthusiastic motorcyclists. What does he do in winter? "Work, and wait for spring!"
